Saves after killing Wolf

So I talked to the three and let it save so I could experiment and see if I could hit/fight the Wolf in his camp. But it IMMEDIATELY saved it after I killed him! There's no way that was a good thing and I tried to ALT+F4 as it was saving but it was too late... Is there any reason you save immediatel...

Combat Training mode

The combat is very difficult IMO. Nothing I do seems to be fast enough. The enemies always seem to get me quicker than I can react. Anyways, I think the biggest problem is I don't get a lot of practice, I spend most of the game roaming around and collecting things. So would it be possible to add som...

Re: Possible to run on lower end computers?

Not that you asked me for my opinion
Sure didn't

I dont know what the devs will decide to focus on but my vote goes to getting this game running on lower end machines.

Re: Alpha 4

Really excited to try to the new version. I read that performance is better on slower computers? How low-end are we talking?

Re: Possible to run on lower end computers?

Big sprites usually aren't so bad, its usually a high number of sprites that can cause a strain. Is the entire world and entities within it loaded at once and constantly given CPU time? Not that you asked for my advice but, try getting your source code onto a lower end system with integrated graphic...

Possible to run on lower end computers?

I have two computers. One is a laptop with only onboard graphics but it has a solid state harddrive. The other is a gaming machine souped up with a really nice card etc. Darkwood runs fine on my gaming machine but crawls too unplayabley slow on the laptop. Even the SSD can't load the world at a dece...

A game mode idea

I've found that the game auto-saves at the beginning of each day. As of now, when I am about to die I just quit and start over from the beginning of that day. It's still a pain in the ass to do the entire day over again 3 or 4 times in a row, but I feel like that's much better than dying and waking ...

Re: The Wizards need your opinion: Controls

Controls are fine as they are in terms of orientation. The idea for moving relative to the mouse cursor sounds awful, but that's just my opinion. The main difference that makes this game harder, control wise, is that movement is slower. Reactions are slower. It's harder to time that hit on the enemy...

Dying constantly on Day 1

So I'm noticing something in alpha 3 that is getting annoying. I follow the path, the first road leading from your hideout to find the burned houses and other cool stuff. Usually logs and supplies. I have died 3 times in a row on day 1 because the path is no longer useful. It keeps guiding me into t...
