Re: more depth to the animal friendly skill

I think that after you give the lynx to Wolf, it kills Wolf and becomes your companion until it dies once. I don't remember that happening. The Big Cheese, companions like that typically die in scripted sequences and are given thorough interaction with the main character to give them value in death...

Re: Compass

Ugh the hotbar slot would make having a watch really tough, but frankly you'll really only want to take peeks at it so while it's not a bad idea-bending over every few minutes to move the watch from your inventory to your hotbar is vaguely annoying. I like the idea of the compass going nuts when you...

Re: Everything talks

Yeah that would be funny, "I swear if you so much as GLANCE at that stool again, you won't be seeing my drawers again."

Maybe some new furniture should be added to your house every time you kill someone, and the furniture would act like the person you killed.

Re: Compass

Fair enough, but if that's the thinking this would mean that probably the watch should be removed from the game as well. Instead of paying attention to environmental day/night changes (amount of sunlight) the player unfairly optimises his strategy against the game by looking at the current time in ...

Re: darkwood art

He could be misunderstood but that still doesn't change the fact he tried to kill people or bring them misery for his own gain. I still like him though, he has the courtesy to not kill you immediately and even extend a hand to help you with information. It's too soon to say he stands in a moral grey...

Re: Dreams after using well!

I want a dream where you explore the inside of the well, or are trapped inside the well and see what you are REALLY drinking. Because what Wolf said about fresh waters tells me it's really, really grotesque down there. Probably the underground level might do that.

Re: Different locations for each chapter?

OhDe I love the idea of the fishing village map, different way to use gas, completely different level traversal, more enemy variety and overall just so diverse. MUST ADD. We'll probably be going to different places since the end of CH1 begins with going into a bunker. Underground gameplay should be ...

Re: Everything talks

That's actually a really good point, a good way to bide your time during nighttime if this was implemented would be to just talk to your furniture and inventory.

The warddrobes in your house should talk whenever you shove them around, complaining or talking about your pus encrusted hands.

Re: more depth to the animal friendly skill

I don't like the idea of a companion, it's hard to implement properly and typically ruins a horror game because the feeling of isolation and blindness to your surroundings weakens.

Dogs will already slowly follow you if you are close enough to them and that's sort of comforting.

Re: craftable weapon addons

Well this makes the Lantern more useless than it already is. I feel like weapon mods should always stay in the homebrew style because stuff like IR scopes and nonsense like that is too far-fetched.

Bayonets made from glass would be cool as an additional attack for ranged weapons.
