Extra mushrooms in the morning [confirmed reward, no bug]

I got 1 extra mushroom after surviving each night in the first hideout, in the second hideout I get 3 extra mushrooms for surviving the night. They just appear in my inventory (or on the floor if full) without me doing anything special. These are not the 2 mushrooms from the well.

Not sure if this is a reward, but it's unexpected to get items while just standing in a corner.
