Changes update

Post by Pita » Fri Apr 11, 2014 4:38 pm

New update is up! We talk about changes in Darkwood, development, an acid birthday and hint towards something we want to reveal this month...

And more I admire
Thy distant fire,
Than that colder, lowly light.

While I could rage all about the loss of permadeath I'd rather like to know about how exactly choices and sequences will outweigh the ultimate loss of everything. Theoretically, permadeath only stops your progress up to point X and a choice (or item loss) leading to significant disadvantages for the rest of the game can be much more challenging.

And thinking about the skill system... Well, let's just say I see a lot of things worse to the player than permadeath. And that opens up a lot of awesomeness. Any one played E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy? Those permanent stat decreases on death still give the me shakes. Can't really say this about permadeath.

To be honest, I'm even more excited about the changes than before. I am really looking forward to playing the game. It's going to be great because I have full confidence that you guys are making a fantastic game!

Thumbs up for the hard decisions and keep up the good work :!: :!:
